Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter (merging the Swedish verbs plocka upp (pick up) and jogga (jog) gives the new Swedish verb plogga, from which the word plogging derives).
There are 30.5 miles of equestrian/hiking trails winding through Walnut’s rolling hills. The scenic, rolling natural topography provides an idea place for riding, mountain bike riding, and hiking.
The City maintains 23.5 miles of the trail system. The City’s trails connect to seven miles of County of Los Angeles trails for a total of 30.5 miles.
Walnut Plogging’s mission is to clean up the environment, spread awareness, and make the community a better place. While our focus is around the City of Walnut, we hope to influence others to do the same and make a lasting impact in the world.
