Ai Teng
Portola High School, 11th Grade
My name is Ai (Christina) Teng, and I am a junior at Portola High School. I am fluent in both English and Chinese, and have a strong academic foundation across multiple subjects. I am interested in tutoring Math (up to AP Calculus BC), English (up to 10th grade), Drawing, and Science (up to AP Biology and AP Physics 1). I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam in May 2025, and I plan to major in Mathematics in the future.
Lucas He
Walnut High School, 10th Grade
Hello, I’m Lucas He. I enjoy helping students improve their English and feel more comfortable communicating. My favorite book is Percy Jackson. English was not my first language either so I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language, which gives me a unique advantage as an ELD tutor. It is important for first-gen immigrants to learn English as it opens them up to more opportunities and helps them feel more connected to their community. I hope to help students build confidence in reading, writing, and speaking English.
