The Chinese American Parents Association of Walnut High School (CAPA of WHS) proudly held its 2026 Annual Volunteer and Youth Leadership Awards Ceremony in September 27，2026, celebrating the dedication, leadership, and community spirit of our students and volunteers.
The event brought together students, parents, community leaders and CAPA family members to recognize students for their meaningful contributions to the community.
53 students received volunteer service awards recognized through the California State Senate, California State Assembly, Los Angeles County Supervisor, City of Walnut, and CAPA of Walnut High School.
CAPA also recognized outstanding student leaders from its eight youth activity groups, including online tutoring, Origami Club, intelligence games, art and drawing, Plogging Team, animal care Group, summer dragon boat, and volleyball Team. These programs give students opportunities to develop teamwork, communication, responsibility, and leadership through hands-on community activities.
CAPA is grateful to all students, parents, volunteers, community leaders, and supporters who continue to make these programs possible. Together, we hope to inspire the next generation to serve, lead, and give back to the community.
