Overview
Founded on 2022, the Intellectual Games Program is a youth-led educational initiative co-founded by passionate high school students under the Chinese American Parent Association (CAPA). Our mission is to provide elementary-aged children with enriching weekend activities that cultivate strategic thinking, creativity, and a love for learning—through games and community connection.
Team Structure

Dedicated Parent Coordinators: Susan, Xiujun
Volunteers: Middle and high school students from the local community
Objectives
● Promote critical thinking and problem-solving through structured game
● Foster empathy and leadership in student tutors
● Encourage collaboration and cross-age mentorship
● Give back to the community through creative outreach projects
● For safety reasons, parents are encouraged to stay on-site in case their child needs assistance (e.g., bathroom break or early pickup due to weather changes).

Time: Every Saturday, 2:30PM – 4:30PM

Tutor Rules and Expectations
● Arrive 15 minutes early to help set up and plan
● Treat students with patience, encouragement, and respect
● Use kid-friendly language and positive reinforcement
● Clean up and assist with closing tasks
● Notify a parent coordinator if unable to attend
